Our Wedding

We met in August 2019 at Mount Union's band camp. The band needed another trumpet player, so I (Emily) volunteered. When we were learning drill for pregame, I ended up behind a handsome sousaphone player, meaning we spent a lot of time next to each other at band camp, band rehearsals, and at games. Before long, we were friends. When Covid hit and I had to stay at home, Vinny checked in with me often to make sure I wasn't feeling left out from life on campus. He came to my 20th birthday party on Zoom, encouraged me to join a sorority and helped me through recruitment, and came to my 21st birthday party after having formed a strong friendship mostly online. After that, we kept in contact as friends for another year, when Vinny asked me on our first date. We had been dating for a little over 2 years when Vinny asked me to marry him!
