When Alex met Emi...

Emily was ironically a Matchmaker who had given up on love. She spent so much time setting up dates for her clients that going on dates of her own was the last thing on her mind. She had made a profile on a dating app, but put "I'm probably deleting this" in her bio since she had no interest in meeting most of the guys who had reached out to her. Alex was an Engineering student at UW-Milwaukee, dedicating most of his time towards studying (and going out with the guys) so he had no desire to date or meet someone special. One of his friends convinced him to make a profile on the very same app. Within a few days, he came across Emily's profile and sent a simple message: "Don't delete it yet! I have a feeling we will get along!" Emily happened upon the message, and their first conversation was nothing short of sexy: it was about a job interview Alex had the very next morning. He had planned to wing it, but Emily was bold and told him like it is - that it was a terrible idea not to do some digging and give it his all. She gave him some forward advice, and passed along her number without a second thought. Shortly after, she deleted the app without thinking much of it. Fast forward to May. Alex had gotten that job and a few days in realized he wanted to reach out to Emily and thank her for her advice. Her profile was gone, but he had luckily saved her number, so he took a chance and texted her. Emily and Alex talked a bit and decided to meet the following Wednesday. That day happened to be May 4th, 2018. The night came, and they went on their very first date! Alex met Em after work, in the lobby of her office building. They then walked around Downtown Milwaukee and landed at Trinity Irish Pub. Alex, being the baller and totally-not-broke-college-kid he was, ordered them 6 hot wings to share. Em was surprisingly unfazed by this, and they spent hours together that night talking about their entire lives! Alex loved hearing all of Emily's stories about being a matchmaker, her crazy dating fails, and her love for all things creative. Em loved Alex's drive towards school and engineering, his cravings for adventure and his wild stories about growing up in the Northwoods. They had each met someone different than they had expected, and it just felt right. They both told the other that they weren't ready for a relationship, but somehow their connection was strong and they started spending all of their free time together. The rest was history for Alex and Em; they have grown so much together over the past 5 years. Both were previously very independent, but now that they have each other they can't imagine doing anything without sharing it together! When they decided to make their relationship "official" they both came clean and shared that they really liked one another from the very first day. They decided to dedicate the day they met to be their official dating anniversary, and plan to celebrate on May 4th every year, even after the wedding. They're looking forward to what God has next in store for the new Pallagi Fam! They are both so thankful and blessed by you, that you've chosen to share in their special day with them (and for taking the time to read a piece of their story)!

Kaylee is Emily's best and longest friend. They met their freshman year of High School and have been besties ever since! Kaylee works on a farm and helped inspire and instill Em's love of gardening, and they love talking all things plant-y!

Kaylee Richards

Krisz is Alex's twin brother. They grew up best friends. Krisz is an avid outdoorsman who taught Alex everything he knows about hunting, fishing and trapping. From shark fishing in a canoe to mining lead bullets in the middle of the night at the range, the time they spend is never anything short of a wild aventure.

Krisztian Pallagi

Liv is Emily's little sister. They were both homeschooled, so they spent the majority of early childhood together and were one another's first friend! One of Em's fave memories was the special "restaurant" they had together when grandparents came over for holidays and birthdays - EmandO's!

Olivia Brisson

Andy is Alex's best friend from Rhinelander, and they've known each other for most of their lives. They share a love of crazy escapades from snowmobiling, shooting guns and wrenching on anything that goes "ZOOM!" Whenever Alex + Em head Up North, they always pay Andy a visit (which usually means chilling in the garage and ordering pizza!).

Andrew Fortier

Ari is not only Emily's cousin, but one of her best friends! They share a deep love for "drive-arounds" to anywhere in SE Wisconsin, freestyle rapping, photography and the color black. Whenever Em feels like she needs some adventure without leaving far from home, Ari is the first person she calls!

Ariel Mallas

Noah and Alex go way back! Noah was Alex's first friend from UWM. They didn't spend as much time studying, but always managed to have a lot of fun. Once Alex met Emily, Noah opened his arms and never minded how often Em was around. He was a bartender at the time, and was slinging drinks for Emily and Alex on one of their first dates together.

Noah Midthun

Katie is Krisz's girlfriend, and also a friend of both Emily and Alex. During the pandemic, Gabor and Jeanne opened up their home for them all to live together, allowing Katie and Emily to become close, playing long + competitive games of Life, cooking family meals, and taking trips into town to get out and about.

Kaitlynn Gonzalez

Scott is a good friend of both Alex and Emily. Scott worked with Alex at Metalcraft, and also attends 414 Church with them. They all share in a love of trying new restaurants, mentoring one-another towards growth, and being positive supporters of each other! 

Scott Mitchell

Hailee is a friend of Emily's, and is married to Tony! When Tony and Hailee met, he was so excited for Em to meet her saying "she loves music, HGTV and good food - you are both so much alike!" He wasn't wrong, and Hailee quickly became a close friend of both Emily and Alex. 

Hailee Lawler Marusik

Tony is one of Emily's besties from Cardinal Stritch. Tony, Jeremy and Emily spent nearly every day together as "The Three Musketeers" sharing a love of EDM and all music, where they would spend time driving around blasting the stereo! When Em moved out to West Allis, it was discovered that Tony was virtually her neighbor, so their relationship never faded.

Anthony Marusik

Kayleigh is Alex's little sister. She is an artist and plant-lover, so it was only natural that she and Emily would find things in common! She owns her own business as a glass artist, creating cool and colorful pieces. Emily is so excited to be gaining another sister! 

Kayleigh Pallagi

Bryndan is a close friend of Alex from UW-Milwaukee. They spent a lot of time together in a calc study group, furthering their advancement towards becoming Engineers together. They loved going out on the weekends and later became roommates on Newhall Street. Nowadays you can usually find them together on the golf course.

Bryndan Schock

Jeremy is one of Emily's closest long-term friends. He, Tony and Em became close at CSU. When Tony was away, Em and Jeremy bonded over their love of nerdy things, music, and cooking. Emily and Jeremy even went head-to-head at a CSU version of "Chopped" and although she hates to admit it, she came in second place and Jeremy won the top prize!

Jeremy Rios

Nate is Emily's brother from another mother; so much so that they often refer to one-another as siblings to avoid a long explination! Nate and Em both have a knack for an Irish Goodbye. If they're out together, as long as they both know where the other is, they're down to leave an event early without explanation.

Nathan Geiger

Jon is Liv's husband, and Emily's brother-in-law. Jon and Liv love rock climbing, road-tripping and getting outside. Jon and Alex both share a love of shooting guns and fast cars, so when they met they always had something dude-worthy to talk about!
