Emily and Matt first met at a mutual friend's wedding in April of 2022. They immediately felt a connection and enjoyed the rest of the evening in great conversion and dance. After the wedding, they begin to grow a deeper friendship through phone conversations and FaceTime, as Emily was living in Houston and Matt was in North Carolina. Shortly after the wedding in April, Matt visited Emily in Houston and they began dating officially. Their fist date consisted of several Houston icons; El Tiempo Mexican restaurant and an Astros game at Minute Maid Stadium. Throughout their time dating Emily and Matt have explored several cities together, enjoyed trying new restaurants, and attended several baseball games and ballets. Matt proposed to Emily in December of 2023 in Ireland while overlooking the Cliffs of Moher. They are looking forward to all the wedding festivities, celebrating with family and friends, and beginning their new life together!
