Picture this: Sometime in fall of 2020, Brodee fresh out of Tech School for the Air Guard, Emily in her senior year at NDSU. Plagued by the boredom of COVID isolation, these two lucky folks decided to give good ole Tinder a try and thank God they did!

The first date was inspired by Emily's recent family venture to WeFest and the need to find the best gyro. Brodee, the food connoisseur, just happened to know the perfect spot in town. A great first date at Ishtar Mediterranean in downtown Fargo had them chatting for hours on end and eager to plan the next date. From then on, each date turned into spending time together each day and the two became absolutely inseparable! After numerous adventures and laughs together with family and friends over the next few years, Brodee and Emily decided to take a week long trip to the Black Hills!

The trip to South Dakota consisted of all sorts of activities ranging from hiking, breweries/restaurants, all the tourist traps and even a day out in Deadwood, SD. Near the end of the week, Brodee and Emily went through Needles Highway and Custer State Park. During midday, they had stopped along the trail at Legion Lake to enjoy lunch. A family was nearby with the kids trying to take a nice picture of mom and dad by the lake. Brodee and Emily thought it would be nice to help them out so the whole family could be in the picture, hopefully good enough to be Christmas card worthy! After, the mom offered then to take a picture for Emily and Brodee, and the ring that Brodee had been dying to take out of his pocket all day finally made an appearance. Emily was shocked and so was the mom behind the camera!

Emily and Brodee have been planning away and are so excited to have all their favorite people together to celebrate the big day. See you all September 14th!!
