Dakota and Emily's love story started where all great love stories start...at Taco Bell. They were both sophomores at Bowling Green State University when they were introduced by mutual friends during a night out. Shortly after, Dakota asked Emily to be his girlfriend in April of 2017. A year later they added the first member to the family, their cat Bella.

After graduating from BGSU, the three of them moved to Cleveland for Dakota to attend Physician Assistant school at Baldwin Wallace University. While in Cleveland, they added another member to the family, their chocolate lab Henry. All four of them then moved to Columbus where Emily attended Anesthesiologist Assistant school at Ohio Dominican University. During this time, Dakota started his job at THE Ohio State University on the Robotic Surgery team.

In May of 2024, Dakota took Emily to the Columbus Park of Roses where he asked her to marry him. Before Dakota could finish asking the big question, Emily cut him off and said "yes"!

Although the past eight years have been full of adventure and fun, they are extremely excited to start this new chapter as a married couple. They can't wait to celebrate their love and say "I do" surrounded by those closest to them.
