We met when we were 23—Emily was just starting her college journey at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and Jared was wrapping up his degree. From the moment we met, there was an instant connection, something deeper than either of us expected. It wasn’t just a friendship that formed—it was a spark that felt right from the very beginning. We didn’t have to wonder if we belonged together; we just knew.After college, life took us in different directions. Jared moved to Illinois for work, and Emily headed to Milwaukee to continue her studies in nutrition. Though the distance between us was hard, we made it work—weekends together became the highlight of our weeks, and we quickly realized how much we’d come to rely on each other.Then, when COVID changed everything, it also brought us closer together in ways we hadn’t anticipated. Emily found her way to Northbrook, to start her career in training and finish her degree in dietetics. Suddenly, there were no more weekends apart—only the joy of being in the same place at last, building the life we’d always dreamed of.Now, as we stand on the brink of this new chapter, we look back on the journey that brought us here: the long-distance days, the late-night phone calls, and the unwavering belief that we were meant to be together. We’ve grown so much as individuals and as a couple, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.We’re beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you—our family and friends—who have been part of our journey. Thank you for being there through the years, and for supporting us as we take this step forward, hand in hand.
