9 Days of Prayer

In the Catholic tradition, if we have a special request to God, we might pray consecutively for 9 days with the same petition, preparing our hearts in a special way for what God has planned or wants for us. We learned this from the Apostles when they waited for the Holy Spirit to come, as they prayed and prepared themselves. Its called a Novena from the latin word 'novem' meaning nine.

Will and I ask that you help us prepare spiritually for the next 9 days by praying for us to the Holy Spirit, from your heart, to bless our marriage and set us on fire for God and the mission He has planned for us in family life. The Our Father has been a significant prayer for us, as we often wonder how to pray, and Jesus taught us how to pray perfectly in those words. Please join us in praying 1 Our Father for us each day.
