It all began in Algebra class in high school, where two teenagers—Hunter and Emily—met and sparked a connection that would grow into something truly special. After graduation, life took them down separate paths for college and they navigated a long-distance relationship for almost four years, with countless road trips, video calls, and true love holding them together.

Both proud Tarleton Texans, Emily earned her degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the Fort Worth campus, while Hunter studied Wildlife Sustainability and Ecosystem Science in Stephenville. After college, Hunter moved to Rosenberg, TX to begin his career in environmental science. Emily joined him not long after while also beginning her Master’s degree program to become a speech therapist. They became a family of four with their two four-legged fur babies, Charlie and Koda. In their free time, Hunter and Emily enjoy going to the beach, being outdoors, and discovering new movies and tv shows to watch with their dogs cuddled up next to them.

After over six years in the making, on December 21, 2024, Hunter took Emily back to the same beach in Corpus Christi where he had first asked her to be his girlfriend. With the sound of waves crashing and the sun setting behind them, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. (Let’s just say Emily’s patience finally paid off!)

Now, they’re ready to begin the next chapter—this time, side by side, forever.
