Chris and Emily met by chance at an airport in April of 2016. They had both noticed each other but were too shy to say anything, until Emily decided to give Chris her phone number after their flight landed in STL. They immediately bonded over their shared love of music and sushi, and the rest, as they say, was history. Their first date was at Laumeier Sculpture Park, where they both captured pictures of each other that would come to be some of their favorites. They soon grew to love each other in a way they didn't realize was possible and now, four years later, they are beyond excited to share their love story and journey with family and friends. After driving 15 hours each way to see each other for over a year, enduring a deployment to Afghanistan for 9 months and proving to the world that long distance love is possible, they are so happy to finally be together forever.
