Levi and Emily met while working together at the South Dakota State University Police Department. We became friends after being stuck on the night shift together.

Matt Luebbert was the first one to get us all to spend time together outside of work at the local bar, Rays. Trying to keep up with the three Marines was a difficult task, but Emily held it together enough to be invited back.

In July, Levi and Emily went on their first date (according to Levi, but not Emily) to the street dance in White, SD. Later on, there was another miscommunication of our relationship status to the lady running a booth at the South Dakota state fair. Emily told her we were not dating, and this confused Levi as we had specifically called this outing a date. These continue to create confusion between Emily and Levi to the specifics of when their anniversary is.

Through difficulties of shift schedules and blending our individual lives together, we have made it to our engagement! Levi proposed to Emily at Falls Park in Sioux Falls, SD (luckily nobody noticed, as Emily does not like people making a big fuss over her) on May 15, 2024. Levi is so proud to say that he actually tricked Emily prior to the proposal, as Emily said he would never be able to make it a surprise. After we got engaged, nobody in our family answered our phone calls...

We are so excited to have everyone join us for our special day, and cannot wait to celebrate our journey with you all!
