Manicured, sprawling gardens. Fun children’s garden.

Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House – Located in 15050 Faust Pk Dr, Chesterfield, MO 63017

Indoor and outdoor butterfly gardens. If you wear bright colors, a butterfly might mistake you for a flower and land on you!

Grant’s Farm – 7385 Grant Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123

Clydesdale horses and baby goats for the kids, free beer for the parents. Can be a bit crowded.

Turtle Sculpture Park – South edge of Forest Park, across Hwy 40 from the Zoo

Small sculpture park of giant concrete turtles. Great for kids that like to climb. Not usually crowded.

Shaw Nature Reserve – 307 Pinetum Loop Rd, Gray Summit, MO 63039

Missouri prairie and forest reserve. Lots of hiking trails and flowers. Quiet and relaxing.
