On February 26th of 2022, Brett was visiting friends at IUP after graduating there in 2018. As fate would have it, Brett ended up knocking on the wrong door, and Emily ended up answering the strange knock.

Since the moment of their meeting, the two quickly became inseparable. Driving back and forth endless times from IUP to Cresson, where Brett then lived. They made their relationship official on April 22nd, 2022.

After Emily graduated college in May of 2022 and moved back to Cranberry Twp., it quickly became clear to them that two hours was too far to be apart from one another. By October, they were living together in Cresson in their own new apartment. A few years later in June of 2024, they bought their first home together in Hollidaysburg, PA.

Come August 29th, 2024, Brett proposed to Emily on their getaway trip to Deep Creek Lake, Maryland.

They finally tied the knot on May 20th, 2025, surrounded by their close family members.
