Where should I park?
Since we are having a backyard wedding there is limited parking at the venue itself, but we have secured the parking lot of Generational Hope church, which is about a two minute drive from the venue. We are asking everyone to please drop off your family and/or party at the venue and then park at Generational Hope. We will be providing a shuttle for all drivers that will be available to you throughout the day. The address of Generational Hope is, 26040 SE 216th St, Maple Valley, WA 98038. We appreciate your cooperation!
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will start at 3:00pm, we recommend everyone get to Generational Hope at 2:15-30 to give our shuttlers time to get everyone to the venue safely and on time and to insure that no one misses anything. Our shuttlers will do their last pick up at 2:55. If there does happen to be any late comers we recommend parking closer to the neighborhood and enjoying a nice summer walk to our little backyard wedding!
What is the dress code?
Please come in whatever you are most comfortable in! However, it would make the bride very happy if everyone came in florals!! Our theme is wildflowers and it would be so special to have everyone walking around in flowers all day!
Will the ceremony and reception take place in doors or outdoors?
The whole wedding will take place outdoors. However, there will be a tent up during the reception.
What will the weather be like?
Being that our wedding is on June 1st and in Washington, it’s hard to tell exactly what the weather will be like. As of right now, predictions show the day could be slightly cloudy and mostly sunny and as of the last 7 years it hasn’t rained once on June 1st!
Can I bring a date?
Our wedding is a rather small one and unfortunately we won’t be able to invite everyone, for most of you, your plus one has already been added. However, if you go to RSVP and you do not see your desired name then unfortunately we would ask for you to only bring those that are on the invite list, this is do to very limited seating. If you have any questions on this please reach out to one of us (Josh & Emily)! Thank you for your cooperation!
When is the RSVP deadline?
In order to plan accordingly we would ask everyone to have their RSVP in by no later then May 1st! If for some reason you are unable to RSVP by this date and still wish to attend then we would kindly ask you to please bring a chair and a sandwich.
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! We are so excited to celebrate with your whole family! Once again, for most of you, you’re children have already been added to the invite list, if for some reason their name is not showing then feel free to reach out to one of us (Josh & Emily).
Will there be alcohol?
This is a dry wedding! If for any reason you are uncomfortable around alcohol or don’t want your children around it, we completely understand! This is a day to honor and glorify the Lord and we can’t wait to have a joyous time with you all!
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We kindly ask all of you to refrain from taking any pictures during the ceremony. We have hired a wonderful, professional photographer who will be taking beautiful photos for you all to enjoy after the wedding day! It would be very unfortunate to have a bunch of arms and phone screens sticking out in all of our ceremony pictures, thank you for your understanding and cooperation! However, please feel free to take as many photos as you want during dinner and the reception! There will be a QR code provided for you all to upload any pictures you take throughout the day to a shared album for the bride and groom to enjoy!
What’s the best way to RSVP?
Right here through our website! This is the only option we’ve provided for you to RSVP and it is the most convenient for us.
When will your reception end?
There is no official end time for our reception. However, the bride and groom will be leaving no later than 9:00pm! Please feel free to stay as long as you’re able, clean up will take place as soon as the happy couple is off!
How will you communicate any updates before the wedding?
All updates will be posted here on our website. We encourage you all to check the website within the month of May to see if there happens to be any last minute changes.
