Our Wedding

We had been going to the same church for quite some time, but had somehow always evaded each other and only knew of each other tangentially. One night in the summer of 2022, there was a large party at our pastor's house where Jehvson, the future Best Man, played wing man and introduced the two. He had snagged Emily and brought her over to Tom, gave brief introductions, and then quickly vanished back into the crowd. The Irish Goodbye -- the Jehvson Special. Tom and Emily quickly got along and were talking with each other for a majority of the night, which led then to an additional year and a half of growing in their friendship and getting to know each other. When it came time for Tom to do the Right Thing and make a move...he chickened out. More than once. That's when Sarah, the future Maid of Honor, stepped in and convinced him that "she wouldn't say no." So he asked her out, and she didn't say no! After dating for just under a year and a half, Tom brought Emily back to Wharton State Forest in southwest Jersey for a hike, which was one of their first hikes together. They walked down the path through the woods and he brought her up to a riverside beach and, completely to her surprise, popped the question! Tom and Emily are both ecstatic to see what's in store in their future and are both very grateful and excited to celebrate their marriage with everyone!
