Activities
Prescott Park: a ten-plus acre waterfront park located downtown. Flowers, fountains, trees, and walking paths - it's a top spot on our list!
Explore downtown! Grab a coffee, go shopping, stop in an art gallery or two.
Wallis Sands State Beach: our go to spot for the summer. There are public bathrooms and showers.
Rent paddle boards from Seven Rivers Paddling or Portsmouth Paddle Co and explore the inlets.
Places to eat & drink
We highly recommend making reservations ahead of time
Mamma Luca - great Italian spot
Botanica - on the outskirts of town but one of our favorite restaurants in Portsmouth
Street - eclectic, casual spot with a street-food inspired menu. Also on the outskirts of town.
The Wilder - gastropub with good food and arguably the best espresso martini you'll ever have. Need we say more?
Moxy - wide variety of small plates and cocktails
The Rusty Hammer - casual bar food. Our go to burger spot.
Row 34 - if you need a seafood fix, this is the place.
Buoy Shack - a casual outdoor spot with the best views of Portsmouth. This place is technically located in Maine but it's a quick walk over the bridge.
For breakfast we recommend The Friendly Toast or grabbing a pastry from Elephantine.
There are many good restaurants in Portsmouth. Whatever you're in the mood for, you'll find it.
