We were strangers living in the same circles our entire lives. We both vaguely knew of each other, but had never met or known anything about the other. Two of our friends thought we might be a good pair, and now we know that it was God who put it on their hearts to connect the two of us. (We owe you guys, Lincly & Shan!) It started with an awkward text from Denny while he was in his third year of medical school in Houston and while I was home in Dallas attending seminary. As soon as Denny came home for his Christmas break that same month, he took me out on our first date. It was full of sweet smiles, awkward moments, and laughing (mostly at each other while golfing). Our second date was such a special day for the both of us as we both began to see God's hand in this developing relationship. We were falling in love so fast, neither of us could believe it. We saw each other as much as possible during Denny's Christmas break. Within a few months, we were both becoming more and more sure of God's plan for our future together to join us as one. On a windy, quiet afternoon on October 18th, Denny swept me off my feet and asked me to marry him at a beautiful vineyard in Fredericksburg, just west of Austin, TX. We were then officially engaged to be married on December 19th surrounded by our loved ones. Because of the prayers of our family and closest friends & God's loving hand in our lives, we were brought into each other's lives to edify and love each other unconditionally as we live out our lives to love and serve the Lord as well as all of those around us.
