When Emily and Kevin were asked by mutual friends to join an intramural volleyball team in 2020, they had no idea they would be meeting their teammate for life. After both having attended the University of Illinois and discovering their number of mutual friends, they were amazed to never have crossed paths at some of their favorite spots on campus, Kams, Red Lion and Antonio's to name a few.

For their first date, Emily and Kevin played mini golf (undecided who took home the W) and watched fireworks on the lakefront. Since that day they’ve enjoyed traveling the world together, biking all around Chicago, trying out new restaurants, tackling the occasional home improvement project, and continuing to play intramurals (2x champs!).

On February 4, 2023, Kevin got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him at one of their favorite spots in the city, The 606. After celebrating with champagne, the surprise just kept getting better when Emily spotted both of their families waiting for them at the end of the trail. The day was a perfect beginning to their most exciting chapter yet.

Emily and Kevin cannot wait to continue the celebrations on July 27, 2024 surrounded by all of their friends and family!
