Getting to Paros

Getting to Paros...

There are no direct flights to Paros so you will have to fly to a neighbouring island & then get a ferry or internal flight.

Once you arrive at the airport in Greece you will need to make your way to the port, ready to get your ferry. The easiest way to get the ports is via a taxi which you can get directly from outside the airport. Alternatively there are local buses that run from the airport to the ports.

We recommend leaving 3-4 hours from when your flight lands to getting your booked ferry, just incase of any delays. There is always a bar near the port!

We recommend booking an early flight, as this normally gives you more time to catch a ferry on the same day. We've put all the possible routes to Paros below:

Fly to Mykonos

Mykonos is the closest island to Paros that you can fly to. You will then take the ferry to Paros. The journey takes 35 mins- 1.35 hours.

Fly to Santorini

Santorini is the second closest island to fly to. The ferry is slower from here and can take between 1.45 - 4 hours.

Fly to Athens

Athens has the most amount of flight options and the most choice for ferries. The ferries take between 3-4.45 hours. You can also get an internal flight from Athens which takes 45 mins.

Fly to Crete (Heraklion)

If you fly to Crete, make sure you fly into Heraklion as this is the port to which the ferry to Paros goes. The ferry takes between 4.20-5.25 hours.

Booking Ferries

Whenever you book ferries in Greece use Ferry Hopper, it's much easier than booking directly with all the companies! Also please don't panic if it says there are no ferries on the timetable yet for May 2024. This will not be published yet. You can book your ferry on the day or in advance.

As it will be the end of 'Low Season' there will not be as many ferries as the peak in summer- please consider this when booking your flights. You might need to stay the night somewhere else before travelling to Paros due to the ferry timetables.
