Like every other tween to twenty-something year-old girl in the Metairie/Kenner area I had my eye on "the Smoothie King guy". And, yes- the one with the big muscles. 😍 Throughout high-school I could remember going to the mall and hoping the whole time I would get a glimpse of "him". I didn't know his name and didn't think I ever would. On the hottest of summer days, I avoided this Smoothie King at all costs if he was working. For some reason, I couldn't ever muster the confidence to actually speak to him, like #icant. Fast forward to May of 2013 and he has a name! A quick search on Facebook and BOOM💥, Alex gets a friend request from his future wife! A few back and forth VERY short conversations over the next 6 or 7 months and still nothing. Finally, he gets my number and texts me while we're both out one night with friends. We finally have a face-to-face encounter at Barcadia, January 31st 2014! 💃🏼🕺A year and a half later we move to Birmingham, Alabama together. Another year and a half goes by and here we are-we're ENGAGED! 💍👰🏼 This might be one of the creepiestlove stories ever, but for us- we're just perfectly OK with it!
