Baker and Emily met in the modern way... an app. Emily almost did not swipe the right way because she mistook Boston, MA as where Baker currently lived, not where he grew up. Their first date was fittingly at the Southern Museum of Flight. When Baker told his family the location of the first date they got excited because a girl who understands his love for planes has great potential. They became official in October of 2022. They were long-distance and Emily was a third-year medical student on clinical rotations. They made the most of any time they got to spend with each other. Putting together Lego sets, watching Star Wars, going on hikes, teaching Emily how to mountain bike, and walking in the park playing Pokemon Go were the go-to activities. Emily continually endeavored to get Baker to add "y'all" to his vocabulary while Baker let his Boston accent slip a little bit whenever he got frustrated with southern drivers. Emily was mortified when a girl at the Boston Commons said "You are not from here are you?" after Emily only said one sentence. Despite the vernacular and accent differences, both knew that they wanted to spend their lives together. The happy couple got engaged on March 29th, 2024 by the Montgomery riverside. Emily knew it was coming. Baker put the box that held the ring on top of the cabinets so that she could see it without being able to reach it. After Match Day, they moved to Greenville, South Carolina. A new state for both of them as Baker started an exciting job while Emily began her residency. They are so looking forward to their wedding day and the rest of their lives with each other. It is safe to say that they never imagined marrying someone from across the Mason-Dixon but are so thankful to have found each other.

Dr. June and Emily were roommates in medical school. They are trauma-bonded and lifetime karaoke partners.

Katie is one of Emily's best friends from college. Katie knows how to ground Emily while also making her laugh.

Sam is Baker's younger brother. It is hard to tell that he is younger, as he is a foot taller than Baker. Most of Baker's favorite childhood memories were made with Sam by his side.

Liam is one of Baker's best friends from high school. Their shared love of sci-fi and racing provide the basis of most conversations.

Kenny is one of Baker's first friends from Purdue. They bonded over difficult math classes and a shared love for aircraft.

Kenny Russell

Aidan started as a friend-of-a-friend for Baker but they quickly became close. Aidan's go-getter attitude led to fitness challenges with Baker that still continue today.

Ani was Baker's neighbor at his first doom room at Purdue. His strong sense of humor and determined mindset helped Baker through many tough courses.

This is a great option if you want to be close to the airport. It is a 2.3-mile drive from Huntsville International Airport. It is a 32 minute drive from the venue.

If you want to be able to see a rocket from your hotel room this is a great choice. It is across the street from the US Space and Rocket Center if you share a love of aerospace with the groom. It is just under a 30-minute drive to the venue.
