Dylan:

God, in my opinion, has quite an interesting way of setting us onto our paths in life, and guiding us to our full potential. In fact, at times, I am often baffled by how I have even ended up at this point. Almost 2 years ago I was fresh in the Coast Guard after basic training and ready to start a new life for myself; my biggest challenge and goal was finding a relationship. I dated around a little bit but never found what I was looking for until I met Emily. I have never met someone who is more caring, beautiful and thoughtful than her, she is without a doubt the person with whom I want to spend the rest of my life with. Now, I truly understand the path that was laid out for me, and I can’t thank God enough for putting me here. It still amazes me that I’m going to be married to the most amazing person that I have ever met in my entire life and I cannot imagine a life without her in it.

Emily:

After weeks of chatting online the moment finally arrived for our first face-to-face meeting. I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness as I stepped into the restaurant, where we had agreed to meet. He greeted me with a warm smile and his genuine gentlemanly manner immediately put me at ease. As we settled into our seats we began to share our stories. I found myself surprised by our shared interest, we discovered that we both enjoyed the outdoors. It felt surreal to connect over our fundamental beliefs and mutual goals, far beyond the surface level small talk I had anticipated over sushi. We laughed and exchanged dreams we both held, each moment revealing more of our shared visions of the future. The conversation flowed and time seemed to go by fast. The more we spent time together, I realized that our meeting was not just a simple date; it was the beginning of a promising journey filled with joy of finding someone God had planned for me. I am blessed to have found the gentleman who opens doors, holds my hand, and loves me the way I love him.
