Covid-19 Update

Hello all,

Well, we are a week away from our special day, and we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you. Like we promised, we have been keeping an eye on the spread of COVID-19 in our area. Unfortunately, cases have been trending upwards, and our area has been identified by the CDC and Otsego County Department of Health as having a substantial level of community transmission, on the verge of becoming high.

Given this uptick in cases, and coupled with the recommendation by the CDC and DOH, we are strongly encouraging all to mask up for our wedding, regardless of vaccine status. We will also be supplying wristbands for you to wear signifying your comfort level for people to approach and socialize with you. There will be a sign posted by these wristbands, but essentially green would mean totally comfortable, yellow would mean please be cautious, and red would signify please keep your distance and mask up when talking to me.

As of right now, the Foothills will not be asking for vaccine status, and ask that people abide by the honor’s system regarding vaccine status.

Seeing as we are a week away from our wedding, we are focused on making this night everything we dreamed, while also focusing on safety. We are very disappointed that we will be wearing masks for our wedding, but we know the bigger picture is not only celebrating on our day, but for years to come. Thank you for your understanding.
