Emily and Charlie met in the Fall of 2021 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Charlie was about to begin his third and final year of law school; Emily had just returned to her hometown after graduating college. One night, the two happened to cross paths while out with friends at a bar (shout out to Vintage Sofa Bar off Burke St). Although Charlie will never admit it, Emily initiated their first conversation, and the couple has never looked back.

Emily and Charlie's relationship was built on their easy-going personalities and shared sense of humor. Some of the couples' favorite things to do together include going to new restaurants/breweries, anything related to sports, quality time with friends and family, and watching new movies on date nights. Amidst graduating school and starting new jobs, Emily and Charlie relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, during the summer of 2022.

Through new challenges and exciting life milestones, the couple continued to choose each other every day while setting roots down together. After a romantic dinner date and a little extra help from his siblings, Charlie asked Emily for her hand in March of 2024. The couple continues to enjoy their newfound home on the West Coast with their cat, Aspen, and their dog, Winston. The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Ellis are thrilled to spend their day with their closest family and friends!
