The venue is in Jefferson, Colorado which is a small town with one main grocery store! So, there are few hotels in the area. However, there are many VRBO and Airbnb option in the Jefferson and FairPlay areas. If you'd much prefer a hotel, Breckenridge will have what you want with only a 30 minute drive to the venue.

I would highly recommend using Turo: https://turo.com This is an app/website that allows you to rent cars directly from the owner, so it is often cheaper than car rental services such as Hertz. Additionally, you can often chose to pick the vehicle up from any destination, including the airport!

I would recommend DIA (Denver International Airport). From there, the venue is an hour and a half drive.
