What started as a glance in the Texas Athletics Nutrition Center ended as forever! We met in September of 2021 during EmJ’s freshman at UT and Tanners sophomore year. Although for Tanner it was love at first sight, EmJ needed a little bit longer to come to her senses. We stayed friends until Skyler came along in February and stayed with EmJ for a Texas pre-rush weekend! (Shoutout Texas Kappa Kappa Gamma). They became best friends and in March of that year, EmJ met the Witt Clan through her. Never has she ever heard people talk about someone the way they talked about Tanner. This guy is truly remarkable, as you know if you have ever gotten the pleasure of meeting him :) In that movement she knew she needed to give him a second chance. They started going on more dates in April, and after Sydney saying if EmJ did not date him, then she would, EmJ realized she could never let Tanner get away. We started dating April 28th, 2022 and here we are today! Praise the Lord!


Tanner graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2024 and EmJ graduated in December of 2024. Tanner got drafted by the New York Mets in July 2024 and is kicking off his professional baseball career. EmJ is completing her masters at The University of Texas, utilizing some medical redshirt eligibility to play a 5th year for Texas Soccer in the fall. If you know us, you know we have been through some major sports injuries and surgeries side by side. Forever thankful the Lord gave us each other to walk through this season of life together, and all the seasons to come.
