Our Wedding

Our story began the old-fashioned way, two people meeting in person, sharing conversation, and slowly discovering something special. From our very first date at a cozy neighborhood spot, we found an instant comfort in each other, talking and laughing late into the night, unaware of just how quickly time was flying.Only a few weeks later, the world unexpectedly paused as the pandemic unfolded. What could have been a challenge became an opportunity, spending every day together only brought us closer. We quickly realized that life side by side felt natural, easy, and full. Before long, we moved in together, building a home filled with love, laughter, and a lot of takeout during late work nights. Through new careers, cross-country travels, and all the little moments in between, we’ve grown into each other's best friend, biggest cheerleader, and favorite adventure partner.One of our most spontaneous (and best) decisions came during an ordinary dinner when we convinced ourselves to stop by a pet store “just to look.” Less than an hour later, we came home with Nala, who instantly became the queen of the house. She keeps us laughing daily, fully runs the household (as all cats do), and even has her own Instagram to document her very busy life.On Christmas Eve 2024, during a quiet walk through Theodore Roosevelt Island, one of our favorite peaceful escapes — Matthew proposed. The moment was simple, meaningful, and perfectly us. Now, with our loved ones by our side (and Nala supervising, of course), we’re so excited to start this next chapter, building a life full of love, laughter, and plenty of spontaneous adventures to come.
