What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please arrive to the Shell Island Resort lobby at 4:30pm where you will be escorted to the ceremony location.
Is there parking?
Yes. There is a parking deck directly to the right of the resort that wedding guests are able to park in for free. If there is a parking attendant on duty, just let them know you are here for the Bodnar/Pomasl wedding.
Is there a theme?

What is the dress code?
The dress code is semi-formal. The ceremony will take place outside on the beach so please keep that in mind and dress accordingly. Please no jeans/denim and avoid shades of white.
Are children allowed to attend?
Due to venue restrictions, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate children.
Can I bring a guest/date?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions!
When do we need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP by April 25th using the RSVP tab on the website. If you do not RSVP in time, we will assume that you are unable to attend.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over feel free to take as many pictures as you’d like and don’t forget to share them with us!
Bar Service
We can’t wait to celebrate with you and host you for dinner! A cash bar will be available during the reception so please bring cash or a credit card to enjoy the bar service.
What should I expect of the venue?
The ceremony will take place outdoors on the beach right in front of the ocean, and the reception will take place inside the resort in the ballroom. Please plan footwear accordingly!
Will transportation be provided?
No. The ceremony and reception both take place at Shell Island Resort where we have rooms blocked for wedding guests so we will not be providing transportation.
For those not staying at the resort, there is ample parking onsite and other hotel options within 15 minutes of the venue.
What will the weather be like?
The weather in late spring in North Carolina is typically warm with average temperatures between 65 and 80 degrees. There is on average a 30% chance of rain during that time of the year.
What is the plan in the event of rain?
In the event of rain or other inclement weather, the ceremony will take place indoors in the ballroom.
Where do we sit for the ceremony?
The first row will be reserved for immediate family. Otherwise, you may sit wherever you'd like on either side of the aisle.
