Michael and Emma first met when Emma was simply his sister’s best friend, back in Bloomington, Indiana ~ 2014. What started with a “happy birthday” text in April 2014 turned into the start of forever. As time progressed, they learned of their shared interests in music and sports - while having a similar outlook on life.

Unfortunately, back then the two learned important lessons on navigating a relationship and ultimately were not able to stay together longer than a couple months but always managing to stay friends. As they both took time to grow as individuals throughout college years, they both remembered how much they meant to each other, the fun they had, and how easy it was to laugh and talk for hours to someone they cared about.

A few years later in 2021, with a little bit of luck in timing and a simple text, "Hey, want to get dinner and catch up?" would be all that is needed to evolve into the four years (and counting) of a happy relationship and eventually a proposal.

Emma and Michael now share their home with two fur babies who are their worlds and have learned the true meaning of "I love you" along with the commitment to each other every day that the phrase represents.
