Jessica Droessler
Jessica Droessler - Maid of Honor
Jessica and I have been best friends since our time dishwashing at Breitbach Country Dining (even though we lived 5 minutes from each other our whole lives and didn't even know it). She is a trivia wizard and has never let me win a game against her. We became a dynamic duo throughout the course of our friendship, usually with us encouraging each other to do things we wouldn't do otherwise. Some of my favorite memories with her include McDonald's outings in the middle of the night and Crumbl cookie reviews.
Nathan Vanderheyden
Nathan Vanderheyden - Best Man
Yes... we do look a lot alike. My twin brother Nathan has always been by my side and is easily my best friend. Nathan is a loud, extroverted person who loves meeting new people and helping those in need. He is the life of the party and always game for anything. Some of my favorite memories with Nathan include our roadtrip to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship Game and throwing up in his car after my RTT Program Christmas party.
Lexy Vanderheyden
Lexy Vanderheyden - Bridesmaid
Lexy is Colton's sister, and she always makes me laugh! She always has a smile on her face, and I am so honored and excited to have her as my sister! Some of my favorite memories with her include attending dance competitions, working on puzzles, and painting my closets.
Jackson Vanderheyden
Jackson Vanderheyden - Groomsman
My brother Jackson is an incredibly kind and hilarious man. Even if I am on the receiving end of his dry, sarcastic jokes, Jackson will always make me laugh with his amazing sense of humor. Although Jackson may be younger than me, he has been an incredible role model and positive influence on my life. Some of my favorite memories with Jackson include his Iowa State University campus visit and him demolishing me at wake boarding .
Kelley Scherbring
Kelley Scherbring - Bridesmaid
Kelley and I have been the best of cousins since our toddler days where we would play Barbies under the pool table at Grandma and Grandpa's! We have had so many sleepovers and camping adventures at the creek. One of my favorite memories is from raspberry picking with Kelley and Sam. Sam decided he was better off without us and ended up lost down the creek.
Sam Brimeyer
Sam Brimeyer - Groomsman
I am beyond excited to have Sam as my brother. When I first started meeting Emma's family, Sam was incredibly respectful to me and welcomed me with open arms. Although our time together has been limited due to him being in the military, it has always been memorable and I am eager to make more lasting memories. Some of my favorite memories with Sam include the laugh provoking family game nights and when Emma, Sam, and I had a massive snowball fight.
Cora Dunnwald
Cora Dunnwald - Bridesmaid
Cora was one of the first people I met at Iowa State, and we grew close freshmen year going to the dining hall together and hanging out in her dorm room. We lived together for two years in college and had so much fun procrastinating homework, watching Hell's Kitchen, and driving to get ice cream when I wanted some. My favorite memory is coming home from work one Friday night and asking her to pierce my ears (spoiler alert: I cried).
Jesse Smith
Jesse Smith - Groomsman
Jesse and I first met in high school track and have grown to be close friends over the years. From staying up late and having deep conversations to debating fantasy football, there is never a dull moment with Jesse. He is a deeply loyal friend and has been a great friend to Emma and I. Not only that, Jesse is the reason we are together in the first place! I am forever indebted to Jesse for his friendship and introducing me to the love of my life.
Kayla Christiansen
Kayla Christiansen - Bridesmaid
Kayla and I met in Dr. Stewart's Bio 211 class freshmen year of college, and lived together for three years afterwards! Most of our ideas come from convincing one another to follow through with our impulsive thoughts. Some of my favorite memories with Kayla include spending the night at Sip's (and Jesse having to pick us up after work) and our late night roommate bonding time.
Seth Hansen
Seth Hansen - Groomsman
Seth "The Magic Dragon" Hansen is truly a friend like no other. Seth and I first met in high school football and instantly bonded over our shared interest in weight lifting, eating, and nerd culture. After all, it is not everyday you meet someone who dresses up as Star-Lord to football film session. Beyond that though, Seth has always been a friend I can count on. He has a big heart and great sense of humor. It is no surprise to see how Seth has become a huge part of Emma and I's life.
Avery Wickham
Avery Wickham - Bridesmaid
Avery was my roommate freshman and sophomore year at Iowa State. Her first text ever to me was when we first decided to room together: "You don't want to get stabbed, I don't want to get stabbed...want to room together?" My favorite memories include having her feed me jellybeans after I almost passed out getting a tattoo, and our countless adventures around Freddy Court to catch insects for class.
Jared Ness
Jared Ness - Groomsman
Out of all of my friends, Jared has been by my side the longest. Jared was one of my first friends when I moved to Dubuque in the 4th grade, and we have been incredibly close ever since. Jared is not only an amazing dancer, but he is such a joy to be around. He makes everyone around him feel special and is one of the nicest guys I know. Some of my favorite memories with Jared include going out to the bars in downtown Iowa City and competing in a lip sync battle during high school English class.
Meghan Sigwarth
Meghan Sigwarth - Bridesmaid
Meghan and I are cousins by fate and friends by choice. Even after I accidentally broke her favorite mermaid Barbie when we were 5, she still thought I was pretty cool. She lived just up the road from me, and we were always doing something together. Even now, she only lives about 20 minutes from me in Madison! My favorite memories with Meghan include visiting her kittens and asking her to help me get ready for junior prom.
Dalton Kramer
Dalton Kramer - Groomsman
Both spiritually and physically, Dalton has truly been the dad of our friend group. Like any good dad, Dalton knows how to grill, keep a good lawn, and is always there for you when you need him most. On top of being a world class dad, Dalton has also been a tremendous friend that has brought tons of laughter and joy in my life. Some of my favorite memories with Dalton include going to the Iowa vs Penn State football game and hanging out in the Taco Bell parking lot.
Kira Frederick-Deekatch
Kira Frederick-Deekatch - Personal Attendant
Kira and I met during my last year at Iowa State. We have spent a lot of time drinking tea and watching movies with Kayla and Cora. She was essential in introducing me to some of my new favorite things including chai tea and rosemary scented things. Some of my favorite memories with her include our PowerPoint night and eating watermelon to celebrate the Summer Solstice.
Haley Heitman
Haley Heitman - Personal Attendant
Haley and I have known each other since kindergarten where I vividly remember building a house with her using Lincoln Logs. I attended my first sleepover at her house, and spent lots of time visiting her bunnies and riding on her families golf cart. Some of my favorite memories with Haley include spending the night with her at Mayflower residence hall, and skiing together!
Morgan Tujestch
Morgan Tujestch - Personal Attendant
Morgan and I attended the same preschool and have been friends ever since! We shared the same One Direction obsession in middle school, and cried together when we found out the band broke up. Some of my favorite memories with Morgan include our sushi dates whenever I came to Iowa City, and spending nights after school at her house watching movies, listening to music, and playing games.
Jesse Hilby
Jesse Hilby - Usher
Jesse and I became great friends towards the second half of high school and have stayed in touch ever since. I first learned about Jesse through his mom, who happened to be my Art teacher. She told me that her son was going to join the varsity team as a Sophomore and that she was excited for me to meet him. Not only is Jesse a standout football player, but he is also a standout human being. I am thankful that Jesse's amazing football skills allowed us to meet and become tremendous friends.
Austin Scherbring
Austin Scherbring - Usher
Austin, otherwise known as Scherby, was another friend I met through football. He is a delightful person to be around and is very gracious. Despite constantly being the butt of jokes, Austin was always there for our friend group and wasn't afraid to throw shade back in our direction. Some of my favorite memories with Austin include playing Madden at his parent's house and telling stories around the campfire.
Phillip Ball
Phillip Ball - Usher
As serious as we may look in this picture, there is not another guy I can think of that is as wild, humorous, and outlandish as Phillip. From belting International Harvester and Fergalicious to dancing in the locker room, Phillip is always there for a good time. Not only does Phillip never fail to make me smile, he is accountable and eager to lend support any way possible.
Ben Niemer
Ben Niemer - Usher
Ben is a great friend and an even better fisherman. He spends so much time out on the river fishing that I do not have a picture of us together. On top of his impressive fishing skills, Ben is an expert story teller who never fails to make a group laugh. Some of my favorite memories with Ben include post-football game dinners at Buffalo Wild Wings and waxing his chest on my parent's driveway.
