How We Met

Our journey began in 2017 when Dominik, serving a year at Agora in the US, crossed paths with Emma. In that moment, we both knew we were meant to be. Despite the uncertainty of a long-distance relationship and a global pandemic, we trusted in our love for each other and in God’s plan, overcoming the distance and obstacles with unwavering faith and love.

Our Relationship

Over the past five years, our relationship has been a testament to love’s resilience and God’s provision. Countless hours of Skype/ WhatsApp calls bridged the gap between us, traversing multiple time zones and flights to see each other in person. The distance was draining, yet our bond only deepened through conversations we shared, getting to know each other intimately despite the physical distance. Our love grew and flourished, nurtured by the moments we could steal away from the distance, shaping our connection into a steadfast foundation for a lifetime together.

Our Future

As we look towards our future together, we acknowledge the many questions that have arisen since the start of our relationship. While we may not always have all the answers, one thing remains certain: our unwavering love and commitment to each other. Fully aware of the weight of our decisions, especially regarding our future living arrangements and the impact on those around us, we plan to spend a couple of years in the US and then in Germany. Amidst the uncertainties, we deeply appreciate everyone's understanding and grace as we navigate this journey to the best of our abilities.
