Could you please explain the dress code?
We want our guests to look and feel their best on our wedding day. In order to accomplish this, we are asking you follow a black tie optional dress code. Black tie optional is slightly less formal than a black tie or formal dress code. Think floor-length or midi-length dresses for women and a classic dark suit for men. Elevated cocktail dresses will also work well!
We are also implementing a color scheme into the dress code. Because this is an intimate wedding, we are not having a traditional bridal party. Rather than choosing colors for a bridal party, we would like our guests to be cohesive and coordinated since you will all be in photos together. We want everyone to complement each other, as well as our photographer’s shooting style.
The color scheme is dark earth tones, as depicted below. Any variation of black (always a safe bet & welcomed), dark blues, greens, rust, or grays will work. Have fun with it - and hopefully this will make outfit shopping slightly easier!
Do I need to be vaccinated to visit Ireland?
As of March 6, 2022, travelers to Ireland are not required to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative PCR test result upon arrival. There are no post-arrival testing or quarantine requirements for travelers to Ireland.
Any individual that develops COVID-19 symptoms while in Ireland should follow the HSE guidance in relation to isolation and undertaking antigen or PCR testing as appropriate. For more information on what is required of international travelers, please visit gov.ie.
Note: All travelers flying from the United States will need a negative COVID test prior to boarding their flight both to and from Ireland.
Why are hotel reservations in Dublin so expensive the weekend of September 9?
Apparently Garth Brooks has a massive fan base in Ireland and has 5 sold out shows across the weekends of the 9th and the 16th. Unfortunately for us, we were not able to plan ahead for this and hotels are 2-3x their normal rate and we're unable to find any discounts.
We recommend that anyone arriving prior to September 11 stays outside of Dublin and explores the countryside and stays in Dublin during the week if you plan to extend your stay.
Who can I reach out to with questions?
Please reach out to Emma with any and all questions regarding the wedding - and do not hesitate to ask!
