In March of 2014, Nick and Emma found themselves on the same taxi bus coming back from a party at Stony Brook University. When the taxi driver dropped everyone off, Emma shortly realized she had no money to pay the driver. After hearing the driver giving her a hard time, Nick told him that he had already paid for her. He ran back, threw his arm around Emma, and walked her away back to the dining hall. In return to say thanks, she bought him Stony Brooks finest delicacy - jalapeño poppers. Whether Nick actually paid for Emma's taxi ride (or even his own), is still speculation. But after meeting that night and subsequently flirting awkwardly on twitter, Nick managed to convinced Emma to go on a date. Almost exactly 10 years later, were so excited to celebrate our wedding!
