In 2017, Kam and Emma both went to college at James Madison University. One warm Saturday night in September, a mutual friend brought them together for a fraternity date function. Little did they know, that night would change everything.

Emma had been to a football game earlier that day, and Kam offered to pick her up along with her friends so they could get ready for the function. At first, the conversation was a bit awkward, but as they talked, they discovered they had so much in common. They found themselves deep in conversation, tucked away in a corner at the party, for hours on end.

The following week, Kam took Emma on their first official date: a sushi restaurant in small town Harrisonburg. The sushi might not have been the best, but their connection was undeniable. They continued going on dates around their cozy college town. In October, Kam asked Emma to be his girlfriend. Despite a brief period of long distance during Emma’s senior year, they stayed strong and ended up living together after graduation.

Fast forward to March 2023, after 6 incredible years together, Kam surprised Emma with a trip to NYC. Surrounded by their friends, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. And now, the rest is history. They are beyond excited to celebrate their love with all of you this September! Can’t wait to see you there!
