Their story begins in the Cartersville Middle School lunchroom. Emma was introduced to Austin and was told to call him "Lunderware" by a few of her friends who went to school with him at Cloverleaf Elementary. Austin and Emma were in the same friend group for years, where they would meet his two groomsmen, Thomas and Parin, and were in numerous of the same classes through middle and high school. Emma always had a crush on Austin but never said anything other than to her best friend, Rachel. One night Emma texted Austin and said "Hey, you know who Rachel said I would make a cute couple with?" Austin said "Oh, who?" and Emma replied "You." The rest is history.

They officially started dating on June 10, 2013, and have been together ever since. Once they graduated high school, Austin decided to go to Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC, while Emma decided to go to Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA. Both of them had a great freshman year, her meeting her Matron of Honor Ciera, and him meeting two of his Groomsmen, John and Thomas, who then introduced Emma to two of her Bridesmaids, Kaylee and Kristen. After their freshman year, Austin decided to change from Pre-Med to Pre-Law and move back to Georgia. Coincidentally, Georgia College had one of the best Pre-law programs in Georgia. So Austin applied, got in, and Austin and Emma lived in the same city again. (Emma still claims he just missed her and followed her to Georgia College). Austin supported Emma throughout nursing school while he double majored in Criminal Justice and Political Science. He forced her to take study breaks and to have nights off where they would hang out with friends or watch movies together at one of their apartments. He encouraged her and helped her through all of the stress nursing school created. After they both graduated from Georgia College, Emma started her first nursing job (following in the footsteps of her other Matron of Honor and “big sister” Lauren) on an oncology floor in Atlanta (where she met her bridesmaid, Kimberly) while Austin moved to Tallahassee, Florida to attend the Florida State University College of Law (GO NOLES!!!) and pursue his dream of being an attorney.

Emma returned the favor and supported Austin throughout law school and helped him overcome the stress and anxiety that came along with it. While at FSU, Austin met one of his best friends and now groomsmen, Alberto, who was also attending law school. (Austin even converted Emma to a real Noles fan, sorry Mike and Nancy). Now, Emma and Austin live together again in Marietta, GA where Emma is still a nurse in Atlanta and Austin is a Assistant District Attorney in their hometown of Cartersville, GA.

During these over 11 years, Austin and Emma have been through so much together. Each of her four grandparents passing away, two of his grandfathers passing away, numerous trips to Minnesota and Florida to see his family, trips to Mexico, trips to Texas to see his parents and see her favorite place (Waco), friends' weddings and so much more. Their love has endured so much but is so much stronger for it.

They wouldn’t be where they are today without all of you who are reading this. Each and every one of you molded them into who they are and their relationship and future are all the better for it. Thank you for being a part of their lives and being the support system that has gotten them here. Now, after almost 11 and a half years, let’s get them married.
