Emma and Gabe met their freshmen year of college living in Young Life houses on Ohio State’s campus. It was Emma’s first night on campus and she went to a bonfire at one of the other houses. Gabe was there and they were the first people (other than housemates) eachother met on campus! Okay now fast forward 3 years…

Emma’s housemate invited her to play sand volleyball with her friends on the Ohio State sand volleyball courts. Gabe and many of their other friends were there too. Afterwards Emma, Gabe and two others walked to UDF to get ice cream. On the way there they ran into a girl in distress. She was crying, saying all her friends left her and she was drunk with no way to get home. They helped her and Gabe even got to share the gospel with her! Seeing Gabe care for this girl and share Jesus’ love and grace with her made Emma begin to fall for Gabe. That night, Gabe asked Emma’s housemate for Emma’s phone number and they began texting eachother. Emma continued to hang with the friend group and Emma and Gabe got to know eachother better. Sometimes they would even hang way later than they wanted to so that most people would leave and Gabe had no choice but to walk Emma home (LOL)! A couple weeks later Gabe asked Emma on a date and from then on they started falling more and more in love with eachother everyday.
