In the summer of 2019, Michael rushed into a Starbucks for his job interview. Behind the counter that day was Emma, who had been working since the early morning. Exhausted, she turned to see a boy standing before her. Suddenly, something about him sparked some energy. Without missing a beat, she greeted him with a smile and offered to guide him to his interview location.

However, when they arrived, the manager looked confused. Michael soon realized that he had gone to the wrong Starbucks—he was scheduled for an interview at a different location across town. After a few persuasive words from an excited Emma, Michael found himself unexpectedly hired on the spot.

The weeks went by quickly as Emma trained Michael. She offered to come in and help him frequently, but her smile gave away her secret: she was starting to like him. Although Michael didn't need further help with the job, he still agreed; he was looking for a chance to ask her on a date.
