After Nearly Nine Years… We’re Getting Married!

What began in high school has become a lifelong love story. We never imagined that our show choir boot camp pairing would lead us to find not only best friends but future spouses.

Sam had never dared to talk to a girl back then—until partnering with Emma forced his hand. After some classic high school texting and a few ice cream dates, Sam figured we were official. But after being informed that you actually have to ask, we officially started dating on March 11, 2017.

We checked off all the high school sweetheart moments—homecomings, proms, musical performances, show choir competitions, soccer games, and graduation.

Being a year apart, college brought the challenge of long-distance. Sam headed to OSU, and a year later, Emma became a proud Dayton Flyer. That kicked off four years of weekend road trips and countless 2-hour drives by Sam.

Sam completed his education at Tech Elevator, and Emma graduated from UD with her teaching license. Knowing that planning a wedding during her first year of teaching wouldn’t be ideal, Emma figured an engagement in 2025 sounded perfect.

But Sam had other plans.

On a family vacation to Disney’s Beach Club Resort, he proposed through a custom game of Clue—and surprised everyone with a two-year engagement plan!

We are so excited to begin this next chapter of our lives—and we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
