Emma and Braden met at their best friends' wedding as maid of honor and best man respectively. A couple weeks later, they had their first date.

Over the course of the spring semester, they spent as much time together as humanely possible - whether that be in Emma's apartment, a library study room, or at Holmes Lake. They enjoy taking long walks around the lake, going fishing, going to sporting events, playing board games, completing jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and wandering around Target.

In December of 2024, Braden proposed to Emma at Holmes Lake with the intent to go stargazing - one of Emma's favorite activities - but a cloudy sky made that impossible. Instead, they went looking at the many Christmas lights around Lincoln.

They look forward to their wedding day and can't wait to celebrate with everyone!
