Our story starts when we met at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Findlay when we were college students. We knew of each other for about a year and a half before we were officially introduced and went out for lunch with Ryan and Tina Freed, the college and career youth leaders at the church (Ryan Freed claims to be the matchmaker that brought us together, and we can't really disagree!). We hit it off on the ride up and back, and we used Emma's visit to ONU (Ryan's alma mater) to see her sister as an excuse to hang out together (our first unofficial date). Three years, two graduations, and multiple moves later we decided that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and he proposed late one evening in March (he was really sweet and brought flowers and chocolate for the proposal).
