It all started at ISU, where we were both pursuing our dreams—him on the football field and me on the softball diamond. We were two athletes from different worlds, both focused on our passions, but fate had something else in store for us.

It was a Halloween party that changed everything. The room was buzzing with costumes and laughter, but there I was, a space cowgirl tucked away in a corner, minding my own business. Then, across the room I saw this guy dressed as prison mike from The Office (which is his favorite show). He came up to me where I was in the corner of the room playing my candy crush and minding my own business. I had no clue what to say when he came up to me but he remembers me saying his costume was terrible and wasn't sure he would come up to me again since he thought I was mean, but fate had something else in store for us. We soon became inseparable after that night.

For the next few months, we found every excuse to run into each other. Whether it was after practice or at a party, we were always finding time to be together, talking for hours, laughing at the smallest things, and creating memories that felt like they were meant to be. It was effortless, as though we'd known each other forever.

After what felt like an eternity, he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. And let me tell you—waiting for that moment was worth every second. From the very beginning, I think we both knew deep down that we had found something special. We had found our person. We connected in a way that neither of us had ever experienced before, and it was clear that we would never find anyone else who understood us the way we understood each other.

And so, our journey together began. From that Halloween night to now, it’s been a beautiful ride, and we can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you. Thank you for being part of our story—this is just the beginning!
