Long before Emma and Daniel understood what God was doing behind the scenes, their story had already begun. They first crossed paths at The Porch at Watermark, a brief moment in a crowd that somehow stuck with both of them. About a month later, in early August 2024, they saw each other again after Emma had just moved to Dallas, and this time, there was an undeniable spark. One night, they went with friends to In-N-Out, where conversation came easily and neither of them wanted the night to end. The next day at Bondi Bowls, Daniel told Emma her eyes looked like the oceans of Bora Bora, something she still laughs about. Not long after, Emma made the first move and texted him, inviting him to come try a bowl, and from there, their story truly began. Daniel responded right away, and drove out of his way to see her. By the grace of God, not a single customer came in and they talked for nearly an hour without a single interruption. From there, their relationship quickly grew as they talked constantly, shared their faith, and spent more time together. Whether with friends or at a Rangers game, they found themselves completely focused on each other, often talking for hours. On September 19th, after a dinner and pickleball with friends, Daniel realized he wanted to ask Emma out but missed his moment. As he drove away, he turned around, called her, and came back, slightly out of breath after finding her apartment. At the door, he asked her to dinner, and Emma said yes. As soon as Daniel left, Emma told her roommate everything that had just happened. The following week, they went on their first date, and just a few weeks later, Daniel asked her to be his girlfriend over a special dinner. From the very beginning, Daniel was intentional in everything he did. Emma said that as she was learning what a truly godly Christian man looked like, his character and the way he pursued her showed her what it meant to be loved with care, purpose, and integrity. Over the next eighteen months, Emma and Daniel walked through life side by side, supporting each other through difficult seasons and celebrating joyful ones. Early on, they both knew they wanted to marry each other, and after just three months, Daniel was certain she was the one. He was drawn to Emma’s charm, her love for the Lord, her joyful personality, and her deep love for family. She was his dream girl, and he was her dream guy. Looking back, they can see that God was present in every single detail of their story. From a brief first meeting to the perfectly timed move to Dallas, His hand was evident through it all. His timing proved perfect again and again. It is only by the grace of God that their paths crossed and that they stand where they are today. As they step into marriage, they are excited to build a life centered on Him, serving the Lord, and loving others well.
