In April 2019, Emma went out downtown with her roommate at the time, Nina. They never went out to this bar, Brothers, but were meeting Nina's friend's there. While hanging out for some time, Emma and Kyle locked eyes from across the bar. Kyle was waiting for his friend, Ian, to arrive and sparked up a conversation with Emma. After a lengthy conversation and banter, Emma had to leave. Kyle managed to get Emma's number after a few attempts and the rest is history. Nothing brings two people together like a trashy bar.
