Ceremony details

For the ceremony we are asking that you be respectful and put your phones away. Unplugged ceremonies are not just a rule but most important they are a gift. Not everything needs to be filmed or photographed. Not every moment was meant for social media. When we look up we don’t want to see phones instead of faces. We deserve real smiles, not the glow of a screen. We deserve clapping hands, not shaking videos no one will rewatch. We deserve your presence, your full hearts. Our wedding is not content. It’s connection. Please let our photographer do her job and please be truly present with us during our wedding ceremony.

Where will the wedding be?

Crescent Hill Acres, Plympton-Wyoming, Ontario, Canada! Crescent Hill Acres is the venue, plympton-Wyoming is the town. The wedding will be taking place in ontario, Canada!!!

When is the wedding?

Wednesday, May 20, 2026! Yes we know it’s on a weekday 😉 Since majority of our family doesn’t work regular 9-5 jobs we’ve opted of a weekday to make sure they are able to get the time off work! As well we wanted to make traveling easier and more affordable for everyone!

Travel tips

Our wedding is taking place in Ontario, Canada, which is a different time zone for almost all of our guest. To help you adjust and be fully present for the wedding festivities (and to avoid any Jet-lag surprises!) We recommend arriving a couple of days early if possible.

We want to see you when you fly in!

We’d love to spend time with you before the wedding but once festivities kick off things will get pretty busy for us! If you’d like to catch up or visit with us we recommend arriving a week or two before the wedding! Starting Monday May 18 the bride and groom will not be available. We will be stepping back to recharge and focus before our big day. We kindly ask for no visits, calls or text during this time. We will see you on our wedding day and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone!

Travel tips

If you’d like, you’re welcome to stay overnight across the border in Michigan (Port Huron is a beautiful town right on the lake and border)- the venue is only 30 minutes from this location. There are many nearby hotels and Airbnbs just a short drive away. This might help with some people’s travel/health insurance when crossing the border into Canada.

Travel and health insurance

We want you to have a stress-free and fun celebration! Please take a moment to check that your travel and health insurance covers you while you’re at the wedding destination. This will help avoid any unexpected surprises while you’re away.

What airports can we fly into?

The best airport to fly in and out of is Detroit Metropolitan Wayne country airport. We recommend this airport as you do not have to do international customs in the airport. You will cross a land border and do customs there ( from our experience this is easier and less time consuming) Other options are London, Ontario (this is not London England) it is the closest airport to us. or Toronto, Ontario airport. Keep in mind if you do these airports you will need to do customs in the airport and if you have multiple flights it could delay you. We also recommend you have a physical copy of your return flight to show the border security.

Border tips

Passport or Travel Document: Ensure you have a valid passport (or other accepted travel documents, such as a NEXUS card) for entry into Canada. Be ready to answer questions about your trip. The border officer might ask: Purpose of your visit: Why are you coming to Canada? (tourism, business, visiting family/friends, etc.) How long you plan to stay: Know your travel dates and have an idea of when you'll be leaving. Where you will stay: Having a hotel reservation or the address of a friend/family you’re visiting can help. What you’re bringing: Customs might ask if you're bringing in any goods or goods for commercial purposes (e.g., gifts, alcohol, food, etc.). Alcohol and Tobacco: There are limits on the amount of alcohol and tobacco you can bring into Canada duty-free. Food and Plants: Certain fruits, vegetables, meat products, and plants may be restricted or require inspection. Firearms: Firearms and weapons are strictly regulated. If you’re bringing any, make sure to check Canadian regulations. Border officials are trained to identify inconsistencies. Answer all questions truthfully, and don’t try to hide anything that could cause delays or issues (like food or large amounts of cash). Misrepresentation can result in denial of entry. Border crossings can get backed up, especially during peak travel times (holidays, weekends, summer months). It’s always good to have some patience and allow extra time for the crossing. If you're questioned or asked to go for secondary screening, stay calm and cooperative. Arguing with customs officers can only make things worse.

Where is the land border we cross?

There are many land border crossings between Michigan and Ontario. We highly recommend that you cross at the Bluewater Bridge as it has less traffic, which means shorter wait times. Please remember to give yourself plenty of time to cross the border as wait times vary throughout the day. You can find more information here-https://bluewaterbridge.ca/ and https://bwt.cbp.gov/ViewAllPorts.html?com=1&pas=1&ped=1&plist=3802

Rental cars

Since we are so far from the airports you’ll probably want to consider renting cars. If you are unable to rent a car please let us know a head of time and we will help you figure it all out. If you fly into Detroit and rent a car you can drive it into Canada, just double check the insurance on the car but you shouldn’t have any issues.
