Ryan met Emma working as the ISS/business teacher at Philip Simmons High School, where she taught as a special educator. Ryan’s job in the mornings was to patrol the student parking lot on a golf cart, where shortly thereafter he met Emma waiting for her students bus to arrive at school. The two got to talking on a daily basis at the bus loop and Ryan finally got the courage to ask Emma out on a date…they were inseparable ever since.

How we met

Ryan, a Pittsburgh native, took Emma on a road trip 4 months into dating to meet his parents, Tom and Diana of Cranberry, PA and his older brother, Justin. On the trip, Ryan took Emma up the infamous incline, where they could see all of Pittsburgh. While enjoying the view, Ryan confessed that he was falling in love.

Ryan and Emma own their dream home in Charleston, SC where they spend most of their time with their 5 (yes, they are insane) fur babies Moon, Sunnie, Sugar, Cookie, &amp; Biscuit

Our Home

The bride and groom spend a majority of their time dedicated to their jobs as teachers and coaches. The couple coaches year round and have created many memories with their teams along with winning multiple championships together. You can find them almost every weekend during the school year supporting their athletes at games or meets. In their free time the two enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and eating some good food.

The trip that changed everything

For their 2024 spring break, Ryan planned a 9 day vacation throughout Europe for him and Emma. The two landed in Amsterdam, drove to Brussels, Belgium, and ended their stay in Paris. This was an experience of a lifetime filled with incredible food, romantic dates, and lots of laughter.

On a cloudy April day, after exploring the streets of Paris together, Ryan walked Emma to a bridge that overlooked the Eiffel Tower behind the Seine River. There, he got down on one knee and asked Emma to spend the rest of her life by his side. It was the easiest yes of her life. The two called their immediate families and then spent the rest of the evening drinking champagne, reminiscing on their journey together, and enjoying a 3 hour exquisite French dinner under the lights of Paris.
