We met in September 2022. Tim was interviewing for a job at Centene and it happened to be the first ever interview that Emma sat in on. Emma was the first to join the virtual interview and we spent a few minutes chatting about where we lived and if we had any pets. Little did we know that that cliche small talk would lead us here.

Tim ended up getting the job at Centene. We spent the next few months working side by side as Emma was responsible for training new hires. During this time we were able to get to know each other and found that we got along seamlessly. In January 2023 Emma accepted a job on a different team, and we were both bummed that we wouldn’t be working together as much anymore. However, this opened the door for a new possibility.

On March 18, 2023 we spent 6 hours at The Post Bar & Grill watching Mizzou lose in the NCAA Tournament and drinking Bud Selects. This officially signified our first date when we revealed our feelings to each other a few weeks later. Our hopes of this being something more than just a friendly coworker relationship became reality. From our first date to now, neither of us had any doubt in our minds we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

The day of our engagement was a beautiful, perfect day. Tim proposed at Shaw Park in Clayton, right down the street from the Centene office. We have spent many mornings walking Lulu there and playing tennis. There is a bridge overlooking a pond and leading up to it there is a set of twelve steps. Stopping after each set of steps, Tim described a new step in our relationship. By the time we reached the final step, he kneeled down and proposed and we crossed the bridge as an engaged couple!

We are so excited to say "I Do" and celebrate with our family and friends!
