Our Story
Our relationship has been defined by our shared adventurous spirit for new experiences both close to home and across the country. Wherever our next adventure lies, we built our love for each other upon experiences learning, seeing, or doing new things. Our favorite moments together are always when we are outside.
We never get bored!

Our first date! We started our date at Sol Azteca Mexican Restaurant and then did some brewery hopping at Ore Dock Brewing Co and Blackrocks Brewery. We ended our date with a midnight walk along McCarty's Cove. In total, our first date lasted for over nine hours!

We became an official couple at Yellow Dog Falls!

We fell in love surrounded by pure Michigan snow. Winter is still our favorite time of year together.

Alexa moved downstate Michigan for a summer internship, while Emma stayed in the UP to do some construction work. We met up for many camping weekends in the land of the trolls!

Emma moved to Crystal Falls to teach while Alexa stayed in Marquette to finish up her degree at NMU.

We move out to Colorado! Our first hike in the Centennial State was to Brainard Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness.

Badlands National Park was our first national park we visited together, and started our push to complete a national parks bucket list!

We spent this winter completely enamored with everything our new home had to offer.

We took our first major road trip together out West. On this trip, we visited 10 new national parks and 6 new states.

Engagement! Emma proposed to Alexa on the shores of Lake Superior in Ontonagon, MI after making a steak dinner over our snowy campfire.

We were lucky to live by so many concert venues in Denver. We took advantage of so many great artists coming near us, like MUNA.

We were on the move this summer! We were consistently outdoors by backpacking, camping, hiking, and visiting national parks.

We did engagement pictures in Rocky Mountain National Park and were finally within one year of marriage!

We made a special trip to visit America's first national park site - Devil's Tower National Monument.
