Hi Guys! As many of you know, we spend most of our free time together exploring coffee shops, wherever we are in the world (and seriously, I mean wherever. If you get the chance, ask Sam for his coffee recommendations for Barcelona, he has a whole list, I swear.) We've compiled our favorite places here in Durham and Raleigh. If you're in need of a pick-me-up after a long day of travel, try one of these places!
"For the coffee enthusiasts who are willing to do a bit of travel to get the best quality, single origin pour-over, this is your place. This also happens to be my favorite coffee shop in North Carolina." - Sam
"A Durham staple, this is where I exclusively bought coffee in high school. While it isn't as 'specialty coffee' as Sam prefers, their house-made, flavored syrups are unbeatable. It is only 3 minutes from my parents' house so I became a regular quickly, and had my fair share of coffee shop crushes here (hehe). My drink of choice in high school was an iced, macadamia nut milk latte with lavender syrup. Check this place out to see a high-school classic for me!" - Emma
"A new favorite of ours, PRESS is our most recent exploration! In the heart of downtown Durham, if you are looking for a sweet or savory crepe-filled brunch, look no further. With crepes so good, and coffee to match, Sam got both a pour-over and a cortado on our first visit there. If that doesn't tell you how good it was, I don't know what will!" - Sam and Emma
"This was a childhood staple for me. Many a Saturday morning, you could find the Stevenson crew here. With great seating and games for the family, this is a great place for food and coffee! Try a waffle or a smoothie or a latte! There's too many good options." - Emma
"A good local coffee shop that roasts their own coffee, this place is also special to me because this is where I asked Emma's dad for his blessing to marry her (and of course, he said yes)." - Sam
"The vibes? Immaculate. The coffee? Delicious. The plants? On a wall here. Cloche is small coffee shop just off of Duke University's campus, which is also only a few minutes away from the venue. Come check it out!" - Emma
