Tommy never thought moving back home at 26 years old would change his life. After a few unexpected twists, he found himself back in Menomonee Falls, his hometown, trying to figure out his next steps. Meanwhile, Emma had been building her own life there for the past three years, unaware that fate—or, more accurately, Tinder—was about to intervene.In September of 2022, Tommy came across Emma’s profile. She was only a few miles away, and something about her felt familiar, though they had never met. With a quick swipe and a match, the conversation began. A few messages later, they made plans to grab a drink at a local bar. Neither of them knew it then, but that night would change everything.Over drinks, the conversation flowed effortlessly. They quickly realized just how much they had in common. They grew up only twenty minutes apart, graduated high school the same year, and even finished college at the same time. The biggest surprise? Tommy had spent his college years at Whitewater, a place Emma had frequently visited to see her best friend—but somehow, their paths had never crossed.&nbsp;Tommy moving home wasn’t necessarily by choice, but looking back, it was exactly where he was meant to be. Because of it, he met Emma. And now, the two of them are sharing a cozy (maybe too cozy) one-bedroom apartment—the same one Emma moved into in 2020—figuring out life together, one step at a time.What started with a simple swipe turned into something neither of them saw coming: the best thing that ever happened to them.
