In the midst of a world turned upside down by a pandemic, Hinge brought us together in 2020. I (Emmaline) had moved to Charlotte from Minnesota a year earlier, while Eli had always called Charlotte home.

Initially, I was hesitant to meet him because of COVID... However, after a couple attempts from Eli and then our first date, I knew something felt right. We actually made our anniversary the day of our first date, 4/10/2020, because we have practically been inseparable since!

One thing we both remember discovering early-on was our shared (impeccable) sense of humor. This has been a pillar of our relationship among other things- but we have always found joy and laughter in each other's company.

If I wasn't smitten enough after one date- I was head over heels after he brought Bu to our 2nd date. She is now the heart of our world.

We know the best is yet to come and are so grateful for the journey that has brought us here. We are so excited for the adventures that await- especially our wedding!
