Where did we meet?

Obviously, the one and only Bases Loaded in Omro.

Darla frequented this tavern enough and tended to find E on one side of the bar or the other..... either getting in trouble for cooking up weird items that weren't on the menu, or grabbin' a barstool and joining in a game of bar dice.

Our official first date....

Our first true date was to dinner and Funset Boulevard to compete at the highest level on every game possible, including the infamous game of Connect 4. This was no ordinary game of Connect 4, and Darla was getting crushed.... and didn't like it one bit. So E "let" her win a round. He claims if it wasn't for that act of selflessness, we wouldn't be where we are today.

After that,

E quickly became one of Tucker's favorite visitors and Tuck got pretty used to this guy being around. Darla was starting to fall for him too....

From there,

our daily adventures have taken us through Christmas Lights, Wisconsin Herd games, too many golf outings to count, as much live music as Darla can drag E along to, trips to Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, and Minnesota, Easter Egg hunts, Packer/Viking games, volleyball leagues, kegball games, UTV rides, and everything in between.

We've endured...

the loss of Darla's hero, her Dad, in 2020 and the loss of our little Tuck Tuck in 2021. We leaned on each other through these hard times and found a trust and respect for one another, we didn't know was possible.

In the last 8 years together, there have been surgeries, broken bones, multiple failed rounds of IVF, and one failed adoption... all leading up to the absolute dream of a lifetime - our little guy, Beau. Parenting together has grown our bond more than either of us thought possible. Both of us would say we couldn't have picked a better parent for Beau than we found in each other.

In January 2022, E decided that he'd waited long enough... the ring was burning a hole in his pocket and he couldn't wait one more day. In our hoodies and sweats, cuddling our little guy on the couch, he got down on one knee and let the tears fall.

Since then,

we've gotten to see many friends get married and grow their families and now it's our turn to tie the knot!
